Governor Ambode urges inhabitants to deal with government properties






Groups individuals in Lagos State has been asked by the State government not to abuse the ventures and resources in their regions, however to take proprietorship and ensure them for the advantage of all.

This was made known by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode who was spoken to by his Deputy, Dr Idiat Adebule, made the comment at a two-day administration preparing for Lagos State Community Development Committees and Associations (CDCs).

The subject of the preparation was: "Comprehensive Governance, a Catalyst for Sustainable Development''.

He said that unfriendly mentality to government resources was an impression of subject culture that won under military lead when unelected and unaccountable government were the request of the day.

As indicated by him, it was then a culture of challenge and resistance.

"'With vote based govern set up, this preparation is important to introduce another awareness of aggregate duty.

"Government properties are never again "their own'' however "our own''.

"Our people group must cooperate to enhance the satisfaction of each family in the area,'' the senator said.

As per him, groups must oppose the individuals who look to make their lives and properties shaky.

"It is an obligation we owe to our kids; it is an obligation we should release,'' he said.

Ambode asked the CDCs to help the administration by taking possession and ensuring government tasks and resources, with the goal that individuals could utilize them for whatever length of time that conceivable

"As we plan to recreate the following 181 streets and different luxuries to enhance the way of life of our kin, we look for the help of our CDCs.

"The significant milestones in this adventure of our comprehensive government incorporate to exchange the administration of rustic water ventures, recently manufactured streets, road lights and chose parks to the groups.

"These means exhibit our trust in your administrative sharpness and sense of duty regarding our objective of group improvement,'' he said.

In his address, Mr Kehinde Bamigbetan, Special Adviser to the Governor on Communities and Communications, depicted the CDCs as the vanguard of improvement in the state.

Bamigbetan said that the preparation would make the CDCs mindful of their duties as accomplices to the state government being developed.

Likewise speaking, Mr Kehinde Joseph, Special Adviser to the representative on Civic Engagement, asked group pioneers to help the legislature to drive rapid improvement at the grassroots.
